Caldwell first baseman/pitcher Anna Dahl has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II National Player of the Week for the week of March 29-April 4.
Dahl, a freshman from Lindenwold, N.J., was dominant both in the circle and at the plate to lead the Cougars to six wins last week.
Dahl went 9-for-17 (.528) at the plate with 11 RBIs and seven runs scored. She also hit a pair of home runs and five doubles in six games.
Against Bloomfield, she was was 2-for-3 with two runs and a two run homer in Caldwell's 6-0 victory. She posted a career-high five RBIs in a 13-0 win over Dominican.
She also tossed a pair of complete game shutouts on the week. She struck out 14 batters while only walking one, and had her first collegiate no-hitter in a win over the University of the Sciences of Philadelphia. She gave up just two hits and struck out nine against Bloomfield.
On the season, Dahl is 4-0 with four complete games and a 0.00 ERA. She has posted three shutouts and opponents are hitting only .115 against her. At the plate, she leads the Cougars with a .468 batting average, and is on base at a .561 clip. She also boasts a team leading 22 RBIs, nine doubles and three home runs for Caldwell, who is 14-3 and 6-0 in the CACC.
