College of DuPage (Ill.) head coach Deb DiMatteo and her assistants, Danielle Cline and Claire Marquee have been named the Speedline/NFCA NJCAA Division III Coaching Staff of the Year.
DiMatteo led the Chaparrals to the 2004 national championship after taking a year off for medical reasons. The wife of Lewis University head coach George DiMatteo, Deb has won 655 games at DuPage.
DuPage went 27-8 this season, capturing the regional title and going 4-0 at the national tournament, including a 4-0 win over Corning (N.Y.) in the championship game. It was the school's fourth NJCAA Division III national title.
This marks the third time in the last four years that DiMatteo and her staff have claimed National Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
