STARKVILLE, Miss. – El Diamante (Calif.) went 1-0 last week week to stay at the top of this week’s USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 poll, that was released by the Association on Thursday.

Holding tight at second was Alexander Central (N.C.) (28-1), while Norco (Calif.) (27-2) also held is spot at third after defeating Etiwanda in the second round of the Southern Section Division I playoffs.

Rounding out the top five in the poll this week was The Woodlands (Texas) (30-4) who moved up one spot and Northern (Md.) (24-0) who moved up two spots, to fourth and fifth, respectively.

The USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 poll is compiled by state representatives from across the country.
