Emerson College junior Lynn Herman has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III Player of the Week for the week ending March 21, the association has announced. Herman helped lead her team to a 4-0 week, tying a 12-year-old Division III single game record in the process.

The Boca Raton, Fla., native actually tied two Division III single game records as she slammed four home runs in Emerson's 14-0 victory over Albertus Magnus College in the first game of a doubleheader. With two four-baggers in the same inning, Herman also tied a record she now shares with five other players. Herman connected on three that cleared the fence and one inside-the-park job as she went 4-5 at the plate in the game. The home runs came on consecutive at-bats as Herman reached base on an error the first time she batted in the game. The only other Division III player to hit four home runs in a softball game was Giovanna Roberson of Hunter College in a game against Medgar Evers College on April 22, 1998.

For the week, the rightfielder batted .733 in 15 at-bats, scoring 11 runs and driving in eight.
