
The honor is the second of the 2007 campaign for the 2006 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American and the third of her career. It is the third honor this season for the Lady Eagles, as Ilia Lopez earned the accolade on Mar. 28.
Erb guided top-ranked LHU to a 8-0 week, going 6-0 in the circle with three shutouts. She allowed two runs on 17 hits for a 0.42 ERA while striking out 40 and walking just three.
She helped her own cause as well, hitting .391 (9-for-23) with five doubles, eight RBIs and three runs scored.
The Reading, Pa., native opened the week with a nine-hit, complete-game victory of California (Pa.) in which she allowed her only runs of the week. Against California, she also went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs in the opening game of the two-game set.
She followed that outing with a one-hit shutout of Slippery Rock before limiting Edinboro to five hits over 10 innings in a doubleheader sweep. She had another big offensive outing against Slippery Rock, collecting two hits over three at-bats and driving in four runs.
Erb closed the week by leading the Lady Eagles to a pair of wins over Indiana (Pa.). In the opener, she went the distance and hurled a no-hitter that included five strikeouts. She followed that outing with another four innings in which she scattered two hits and walked three.
