Lock Haven sophomore pitcher Kristin Erb has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II Player of the Week for the week ending Mar. 4, the association announced Wednesday.
Erb picked up a pair of complete-game victories as she allowed just a run on five hits with 14 strikeouts in 14 innings of work.
She kicked off LHU’s national title defense with a three-hit, seven-strikeout performance against then-No. 6 Georgia College & State. She followed that performance with a two-hit performance against Francis Marion in which she allowed a run and struck out seven.
As the designated player against Wingate, Erb collected her first home run of the season to propel the Lady Eagles to a 5-1 victory.
