Gasso Reaches 700 Wins
Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso won her 700th career game last week with a 4-0 win over Nebraska. Gasso is looking to lead her Sooners to a sixth consecutive appearance in the Women's College World Series. Oklahoma won the title in 2000.

Kankakee Community College head coach Dennis Clark reached the 700-win milestone with an 11-3 win over Illinois Central.
Home Run Leader
Eastern Illinois catcher Sandyn Short holds every home run record at her school. Just a sophomore, Short has hit three home runs in a game, eight in a season and now 15 in a career to sit atop the school's all-time (since 1974) lists.
Marathon Game
In high school playoff action down in Florida, Miami Palmetto defeated Coral Reef 1-0 in a game that went 24 innings, one of the ten longest games in prep history.
Seal Them Up
Five teams have sealed their bids to the 2005 NCAA Softball Championship. Princeton won the Ivy League's automatic bid by winning the conference regular season. Lehigh came through the loser's bracket and knocked off Army to secure a spot from the Patriot League. Loyola Marymount won the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, Mississippi Valley State won the SWAC and Florida A&M claimed the title in the MEAC.
Drive For Five
St. Mary's (Texas) won its fifth consecutive Heartland Conference championship. The Rattlers are ranked No. 1 in the latest South Central regional poll, and look to return to the Division II national tournament after winning the title in 2002 and finishing third in '03.
