STARKVILLE, Miss. - With the start of another season of Division III softball comes the continuation of Linfield's streak as the No. 1 team in the NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll, the association has announced. After going wire-to-wire a season ago and now starting this year 6-0, the Wildcats received all eight first place votes to remain at the top in the first regular season poll of 2012.

Texas-Tyler remains in the No. 2 spot after also starting 6-0, while Luther jumps two to No. 3 despite not having played yet. The No. 4 spot continues to be held by yet untested Eastern Connecticut State, while 11-1 Emory jumps two to round out the top five.
