STARKVILLE, Miss. - A six-win week was convincing enough for Linfield to receive all eight first-place votes to remain No. 1 in the NFCA Top 25 Poll, the association has announced. Two wins over then-No. 13 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, followed by doubleheader sweeps over Chapman and Cal Lutheran, put the Wildcats at 22-2 overall.
Emory, who continues to roll and is 25-3, jumps two spots to No. 2, while 18-2 Coe is No. 3. Eastern Connecticut, who has started 9-1, is No. 4, while 12-2 Luther rounds out the top five.
