Louisiana State outfielder Trena Peel is the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I Player of the Week for the week of March 18-24.

Peel, a senior from Aurora, Colorado, hit .476 (10-for-21) in six SEC games last week to help lead LSU to a 5-1 mark. Peel hit four triples last week to give her 10 triples for the season and 23 for her career, both school records. She moved within one triple of the SEC career record and within three of breaking into the NCAA top 20 in career triples. Peel, who hit safely in all six games to extend her hitting streak to eight, also had a home run and seven runs batted in.

LSU is ranked No. 5 in this week's USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25.
