UCLA pitcher Keira Goerl and Stanford outfielder Jessica Mendoza _ are the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I Co-Players of the Week for the week _ of March 4-10.

Goerl, a sophomore from Moreno Valley, Calif., posted a 2-1 record with a 0.30 earned run average in four games at the National Invitational Softball Tournament. She recorded two shutouts, including a no-hitter against No. 16 Iowa. She recorded 36 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched. She was also named the Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week.

Mendoza, a senior from Camarillo, Calif., hit .473 (9-for-19) in seven games last week and was named Most Valuable Player of the Speedline Invitational. She hit four home runs during the week, including two against No. 11 Florida Atlantic. She came within a single of hitting for the cycle against Georgia Southern as she collected a double, triple and home run in a 3-for-4 performance.
