Stanford University first baseman Sarah Beeson is the Louisville Slugger NFCA Division I Player of the Week for games played February 19-25.

Beeson had an outstanding performance as Stanford (16-1-1) was declared the 2001 NFCA Leadoff Classic Champion after rain forced the cancellation of most of Sunday's games. Beeson hit .417 with eight RBI and six runs scored over five games while blasting four home runs. For her efforts, she was named to the NCFA All-Tournament team (no MVP was named due to the cancellation of the final games). She was perfect in the field with 27 putouts and two assists. For the year, Beeson is hitting at a .413 clip with a team-leading 22 RBI. Her five home runs for the season is tied for first on the squad.
