Texas A&M-Kingsville pitcher Amanda Reed is the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II Player of the Week for the week of February 26 through March 4.

Reed, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, posted a 3-0 record and a 0.00 ERA to lead the Javelinas to a 7-0 record for the week. She pitched a seven-hit shutout in a 3-0 victory over Delta State, and tossed four-hitters in 2-1 victories over Texas Wesleyan (ranked No. 5 in the South Central Region) and Oklahoma Panhandle State.

At the plate, Reed hit two home runs and a double. She accounted for both runs in Texas A&M-Kingsville's victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State, hitting a solo home run and scoring the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh after leading off the inning with a double.

The Javelinas extended their winning streak to nine games and improved their overall record to 13-2.
