Bethany (W.Va.) pitcher Rachael Schafer is the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III Player of the Week for the week of April 1-7.

Schafer, a junior from Pittsburgh, Pa., posted a 3-0 record last week, including a no-hitter against Washington and Jefferson and two victories over No. 1 Muskingum. She tossed a complete-game six-hitter in Bethany's 5-2 win over Muskingum in game one of a doubleheader, then allowed only one hit in two scoreless innings of relief in a 5-4 victory in game two. She also contributed to both wins over Muskingum at the plate, belting a game-tying home run in game one and hitting a game-tying RBI-double and scoring the eventual game-winning run in game two. The no-hitter against Washington and Jefferson was the first of Schafer's career.
