Minnesota State-Mankato pitcher Lindsay Mamer has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II National Player of the Week for the week of March 8-14.
Mamer, a hometown product for the Mavericks from Mankato, Minn., went 3-0 last week with a pair of complete game shutouts. Mamer also pitched nine innings of shutout ball in a 3-2, 10-inning loss to Florida Tech.
Mamer silenced the bats of No. 11 Bloomsburg in Mankato's 9-0 win. She allowed just one hit as the Mavericks improved to 3-1 against ranked teams.
She was the winning pitcher in Mankato's 5-4 win over Long Island-C.W. Post, and threw a seven inning shutout against Bellarmine, striking out eight while allowing just one hit.
The junior hurler is now a perfect 6-0 on the season and has compiled an impressive 0.98 ERA. Opponents are hitting only .158 against the right handed pitcher.
