LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) have partnered in a multi-year joint membership initiative, announced the NFCA on Tuesday.
The initiative allows collegiate club coaches, who register with the NCSA, to receive a digital Affiliate/Collegiate Club Coach membership with the NFCA.
"I would like to thank the NCSA for making a huge commitment to their softball coaches by offering a membership to our Association,” said NFCA Executive Director Carol Bruggeman. “Everyone wins with this new initiative. NCSA coaches will have access to relevant NFCA benefits and the NCSA will help grow the sport of softball. Special thanks to NCSA CEO Sandy Sanderson, Vice President Christian Smith, and NFCA Director of Membership Paula Blumenschein for their efforts in bringing this initiative to life.”
It will continue to grow the NFCA’s membership by tapping into another community of collegiate coaches and providing them the opportunity to have access to NFCA education, events, networking opportunities, publications and exclusive member discounts. In turn, the NCSA is making a financial commitment to its softball coaches and presidents, which opens the door for the NFCA to assist them in their pursuit for excellence.
“The NCSA has experienced tremendous growth over the past two decades with more and more student athletes looking to continue their fastpitch softball careers at the college level, stated NCSA President and CEO Sandy Sanderson. “This partnership with the NFCA will create opportunities for our club softball coaches to enhance their team’s skills development, while also providing a pathway for our players to become coaches themselves following their playing careers.”
“The National Club Softball Association is the only intercollegiate club fastpitch softball league in the United States and is thrilled to be partnering with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association,” said Vice President of Basketball & Softball Operations Christian Smith. “Partnering with the NFCA allows our student-led teams the opportunity to access countless offerings and knowledge that will improve their clubs on and off the field. I’m excited for our member teams to gain access to everything the NFCA has to offer which I know will pay dividends for all involved.”
