LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The NFCA is excited to announce its three 2020 camps. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association had to make some adjustments to its normal summer schedule.
The Atlanta Legacy EXCEL Camp, which precedes the Atlanta Legacy Showcase in Powder Springs, Ga., leads off on July 8. It is followed by the Northeast Academic and Pennsbury Classic Camps in Yardley, Pa., on August 4 and 5, respectively. Those two camps are preceded by the Pennsbury Invitational*. The latter two were rescheduled to the current dates due to the pandemic.
The Atlanta Legacy EXCEL Camp will feature collegiate coaches from NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and NJCAA, providing hitting and defensive instruction to the attendees. Additionally, the afternoon is filled with competitive games and on-field live instruction.
The NFCA Classic and Academic camps are an opportunity to take reps and receive instruction from collegiate coaches working the camps, as well as provide student-athletes’ profile information to hundreds of college coaches. In regards to the Northeast Academic Camp, there are additional academic requirements that a prospective student-athlete must meet in order to be accepted. The standards reflect the requirements necessary for acceptance into many of the schools represented.
In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the NFCA will adhere to city, county, state and federal guidelines in regards to safe health practices during the camps.
Following the cancellation of the Ohio Stingrays Showcase in Columbus, Ohio, the NFCA’s Ohio Stingray’s EXCEL Camp, scheduled for July 9, will not be held in 2020.
