LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The NFCA’s “Building Champions: A Week of Giveaways,” an initiative to give back to the membership, capped off with Augustana University graduate assistant coach Abby Chandler capturing the grand prize, two 2021 Women’s College World Series Championship Series tickets (3 days) behind home plate.

"No one had the opportunity to celebrate a championship on the field this season, so we wanted to bring that 'championship feeling' to a week of giveaways for our valued members,” said NFCA Executive Director Carol Bruggeman. “This initiative is one more way our Association is showing its commitment to keeping the softball community connected."

To celebrate championships that would have been taking place throughout the months of May and June, including the WCWS in Oklahoma City, the Association celebrated champions by awarding prizes to its members, who were randomly selected, as a ‘thank you’ for just being members.

Hear from some of our winners

“I cannot thank the NFCA enough for awarding me with such a wonderful gift and opportunity! I will be sharing these tickets with my dad, the man who made me fall in love with softball in the first place. Attending the WCWS as a former player, fan, and now coach of the sport will provide a great opportunity to watch and learn from the best.” – Abby Chandler, Graduate Assistant, Augustana University.

"How fortunate and thankful I am to NFCA for winning a free Coaches Clinic during ‘Championship Week’. I truly appreciate the opportunity to grow in knowledge and better my team from the absolute best in our softball community. Thank you NFCA." – Karen Sanders, Head Coach, Brookland High School

"I was so happy to find out I won the virtual coaches clinic from the NFCA! I have been a long-time member, which has helped me continue to learn and grow from the best." - Jason Bolden, Assistant Coach, Trinity Christian College (NAIA)
