Alma College (MI) center fielder Danielle Pease was named the Most Valuable Player in the inaugural NFCA Division III Leadoff Classic in LaGrange, Georgia. In six games, Pease batted .455 (10-for-22) and scored six runs from the leadoff spot for the Scots, who were unbeaten in tourney play until suffering an 8-0 loss to St. Mary's University (MN) in the Gold Bracket Championship game. Pease was joined on the Leadoff Classic honor squad by Alma teammate Katrina Dinallo.

Two players from Gold Bracket champion St. Mary's made the team, shortstop Jackie Huegel and pitcher/first baseman Jill Hocking.
