NFCA/MAx Preps HS Player of the WeekSTARKVILLE, Miss. – Junior Haley Hutton of Valley High School in Gilcrest, Co., has been named the MaxPreps High School Player of the Week by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for games played through October 1, 2011. 

Hutton went 8 for 10 at the plate with three triples, a home run, 10 runs scored and 8 RBI. Her efforts at the plate this past week helped the Vikings improve to 5-1 in league and 16-1 overall. So far this season the junior shortstop leads her team with a .604 batting average and 1.245 slugging percentage with 31 RBI and 36 runs scored.

To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete's game stats into MaxPreps.com MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week’s award. The NFCA High School Players of the Week, one for each high school region, will be announced by the Association on www.nfca.orgwww.nfca.org every Monday during the spring season.
