2024 ATEC/NFCA nwac national coaching staff of the year, nwac, nfca, ATEC, mt hood community college

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Mt. Hood Community College was named the 2024 ATEC/NFCA NWAC National Coaching Staff of the Year, the Association announced on Wednesday.

Head coach Brittany Hendrickson, alongside assistant Taylor Gould, assistant Kayla Grahn and volunteer assistant Rian Snowadski guided the Saints to a 2024 NWAC Championship, their second in three seasons and seventh in program history. Mt. Hood entered the tournament as the No. 2 overall seed and enjoyed an undefeated run (5-0), which included two wins over No. 1 North Idaho, the second to secure the title. The Saints outscored their opposition 30-11 during the tournament.

For the season, Mt Hood posted a 46-4 record and was one of the top offensive and pitching teams in the league. The Saints ranked in the top three of several NWAC offensive categories, including batting average (.416 / 3rd), hits (610 / 2nd), doubles (137 / 2nd), home runs (96 / 2nd) and RBI (482 / 3rd). They also topped the NWAC with a .185 batting average against and 14 shutouts. In addition to owning the third lowest ERA and WHIP at 2.20 and 1.26, respectively.

Hendrickson and her staff will be recognized at the NFCA Awards Brunch on Dec. 7 at the 2024 NFCA Convention in Dallas, Texas.
