University of Texas pitcher Cat Osterman has been named one of five finalists for the Collegiate Women's Sports Awards’ annual top honor, the Honda-Broderick Cup, as Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year. 

The honor is the second straight for Osterman after claiming her second consecutive Honda Award as the nation's top collegiate softball player and third USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year honor. 

Joining Osterman as finalists for the Honda-Broderick Cup are, in alphabetical order: Seimone Augustus of LSU (basketball); Mary DeScenza of the University of Georgia (swimming); Ashley Miles of the University of Alabama (gymnastics); and Christine Sinclair of the University of Portland (soccer). 

The five finalists for the Honda-Broderick Cup were chosen from previously announced Honda Award winners in 12 different NCAA-sanctioned sports. The winner of the Honda-Broderick Cup will be announced June 26.
