Rowan pitcher Jackie Sasko has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III National Player of the Week for the week ending March 29, the association announced Wednesday. 

Sasko was outstanding for the Profs, going 4-0 with a 0.42 ERA on the week and propelling Rowan to its first appearance this season in the NFCA Division III Top 25 PollNFCA Division III Top 25 Poll at No. 16. 

The Groveville, N.J., product opened the week by surrendering just three hits and one walk while striking out eight in an 8-0 road shutout at Gwynedd-Mercy. Three days later, she surrendered just five hits and one run while striking out five in an 11-1 road win at Haverford. She then surrendered just three hits and no walks while striking out six in a 2-0 NJAC game one road win at No. 20 Ramapo. She wrapped up the week by earning the second game win in relief over the Roadrunners after tossing 3.2 innings without allowing a hit or a walk while striking out four in the Profs� 5-1 victory. 

Sasko, a senior, leads Rowan on the season with an 11-1 record and a 0.91 ERA. She also tops the NJCA with 66 strikeouts on the year.
