COLUMBIA, MO -- Dawson Community College (Mont.) head coach Bill LaFond and assistant coaches Dean Svenvold, Dan Harrison and Ray Glueckert have been named the 2002 Speedline/NFCA NJCAA Division III National Coaching Staff of the Year.

Dawson CC placed fourth at the 2002 NJCAA Division III National Championship. The Buccaneers finished the season with an overall record of 17-19, including a 2-2 mark and a win over national runner-up Hudson Valley CC at the national championship. Dawson's overall record includes two wins and eight losses against four-year varsity programs. Eight Dawson players earned All-American honors, including three first-team selections.

The Dawson Community College staff will be recognized as the 2002 Speedline/NFCA NJCAA Division III National Coaching Staff of the Year at the NFCA National Convention in St. Petersburg, Florida, in December.
