University of Chicago pitcher Hannah Roberts has been named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III National Player of the Week for the week of March 29-April 4.
Roberts went 5-0 in the circle for the week, with four of those victories via shutout. In 34 innings of work she posted a 0.21 ERA with 43 strikeouts.
In a 2-1 win over Hope, she struck out 12 and allowed her lone run of the week. She pitched a one-hit shutout against North Central before tossing a complete-game two-hitter against UW-LaCrosse. She struck out 10, her fourth game of the season with 10 or more strikeouts, as her team knocked off UW-Oshkosh, and she closed the week with a two-hit performance against Illinois Wesleyan.
On the season Roberts has posted a 10-1 mark with seven shutouts in 10 starts.
