University of Nebraska-Omaha sophomore Leslie Svoboda has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II Player of the Week for the week of Mar. 20-26, the association announced Wednesday. 

Svoboda hit .887 (13-for-15) with six home runs, two doubles, a triple, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored as the Mavericks went 5-0 on the week and 23-3 overall with an 18-game win streak. 

The second-year third baseman posted multiple hits in four games and reached base in all six. She hit for the cycle in a 7-0 win over Lake Superior State. 

She went 4-for-4 against Lake Superior and Quincy, while posting a pair of hits on home runs against Grand Valley State. 

The native of nearby Lincoln has hit at least one home run in UNO’s last six games. On the season she leads the 14th-ranked squad in average (.512), home runs (11), RBIs (35), runs (38) and triples (five). She also has nine doubles on the season.
