Jaime Clark hit a three-run homer broke a scoreless tie and Courtney Dale pitched a two-hitter as USA Blue defeated Mexico 10-0 Monday in the Pan Am Games Qualifier at Maracay, Venezuela. The win improves USA's record to 5-0 with two games remaining in pool play.

Clark broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning with a one-out three-run homer. After a one-hour rain delay, USA erupted for six runs in the fourth, sparked by two-run singles by Toria Auelua and Jennie Finch. Lauren Bauer went 0-for-1 to end her hitting streak at 15 games.

Dale struck out five and pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the fourth inning, as she extended USA's shutout string to 29 strikeouts.

USA takes on Netherlands Antilles Tuesday at 10 a.m. (EDT). Playoffs begin Thursday with the championship game slated for Saturday.
