The Shreveport, La., native guided the No. 2-ranked Patriots to a 4-0 record at the tough annual American Southwest Conference cross-division tournament. Peters went 8-for-11 on the week, with 11 RBIs, eight runs, six walks, three home runs, two doubles and no strikeouts. The senior second baseman finished the week with a .727 batting average, a 1.727 slugging percentage and an on base percentage of .824.
In the March 8 contest against Mary Hardin-Baylor, Peters set two school records. By hitting two home runs, Peters became just the third player in UT-Tyler history to hit two or more home runs in a single game. Peters' six RBIs against the Lady Cru tied her own record, set in 2005 against LeTourneau, for most RBIs in a game.
