LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Maggie Ingell of Washington (Mo.) University and East Texas Baptist’s Shelby Parker have been selected as the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III National Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.


Ingell, a senior outfielder for the (3-0) Bears, had a .833 average (10-for-12) for the week, with three doubles, two home runs and eight runs batted in. The Winnetka, Ill., native went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in an 8-0 six-inning win over Austin College and was 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored in a 14-1 five-inning victory over Greenville. Ingell then was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI in an 8-0 six-inning triumph over Hendrix.

Parker, a senior right-hander from Brazoria, Texas, was personally 2-0 in a 3-0 week for the (10-0) Tigers. She fanned the first nine batters of the game en route to a career-high 15 strikeouts in a 4-1 complete-game victory over Howard Payne in the opener of a three-game American Southwest Conference series. In the final game of the series, she struck out the side in the second, third and fifth innings to total nine strikeouts — half of the batters she faced — over the first five innings of a 8-2 triumph.

East Texas Baptist junior outfielder Sara Clements batted .667 (6-of-9) with a .778 slugging percentage, four runs scored, a double and three RBI in a 3-0 conference week for the Tigers. She has a 12-game hitting streak dating back to the last two games of 2013. … Washington (Md.) College senior first baseman Lauren Dockrill was 10-of-16 (.625 average) with seven runs scored, three doubles, two stolen bases and five RBI in a 4-0 week for the Shorewomen. … Thiel senior second baseman Ashley Dolan hit .714 (5-of-7) with four RBI in a 2-0 week for the Tomcats. … Macalester College junior pitcher Brittany Ehmann recorded two victories in the circle in a 3-1 week for the Scots, pitching a one-hitter against Wartburg and a two-hitter against Bethany Lutheran. Two of the three hits she has allowed this season have been infield hits. … Augustana senior pitcher Sarah Hintz was personally 2-0 in a 3-1 week for the Vikings. She had a no-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk in a 7-0 win at Capital, a school receiving votes in the NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll. … Virginia Wesleyan sophomore infielder Kayla Malkos batted .571 (12-for-21) with eight runs scored, five RBI and nine stolen bases in a 6-0 week for the Marlins. … Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman pitcher Haley Parker nearly had a perfect game while earning her first collegiate win in a 5-0 victory over LeTourneau. She allowed no hits, runs or walks while recording four strikeouts and induced 12 groundouts in the contest. … Franklin College sophomore pitcher McKensie Vanosdol recorded all four wins in the Grizzlies’ 4-0 week. She threw three hitless innings in the season opener against Clark, struck out six over three innings against Alverno, tossed 1.2 hitless innings in another win over the Inferno, which was a combined no-hitter, and had five strikeouts in a complete-game victory over Newbury. Vanosdol had a 19-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio for the four games. … Augustana senior shortstop Krista Watson batted .667 (8-for-12) over the Vikings’ first four games, including 4-for-4 with three doubles in a win over Alma and 3-for-3 in a victory over Capital. She had a total of five doubles and an 1.083 slugging percentage for the week. … Macalester College junior shortstop Sasa Wilson hit .769 (10-for-13) over four games for the Scots, including 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a homer in a win over Bethany Lutheran.
