LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Amanda Licht of Cherry Creek High School (Greenwood Village, Colo.) captured the first MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week for the 2021 fall season. Licht is being recognized for her outstanding performance during the week of Aug. 16-22.
Licht got off to a blistering start at the plate, going 13-for-15 (.867) with five home runs and 17 RBI over the first five games of the season. The senior added two doubles and 11 runs scored, to go along with her 2.000 slugging percentage. In consecutive games, Licht homered twice and recorded four hits in wins over Fort Collins (4 RBI) and Mountain View (6 RBI). She also left the yard in the season opener versus Castle View (2-3, 2 RBI, 2 R). She capped off the week with a pair doubles, five RBI and two runs scored against Northridge.

The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week is announced on NFCA.org every Monday during the fall season. During the spring campaign, a player from each of five separate high school regions is selected.
