LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Claire Adams of Mead High School (Longmont, Colo.) was named MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week. Adams is being recognized for her outstanding performance during the week of Sept. 13-19.
Adams was nearly perfect at the plate, going 8-for-9 (.889) with five extra-base hits, 14 RBI and seven runs scored. She drew two walks, contributing to a .917 on-base percentage and slugged 2.000. Adams went 4-for-4 with a career-high seven RBI and was a home run short of a cycle against Skyline. The senior cracked a home run, doubled and registered four RBI in a win over Longmont. Adams capped off the week, with a long ball, three RBI and three runs scored versus Greeley Central.

The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week is announced on NFCA.org every Monday during the fall season. During the spring campaign, a player from each of five separate high school regions is selected.
