LOUISVILLE, Ky.- With postseason now underway for many of the top teams, No. 1 through No. 10 remain unchanged from last week’s poll. Top-ranked Mission Viejo (Calif.) picked up a pair of victories as standout pitcher Taylor McQuillin moved to within three wins of the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section record for victories by a pitcher (100).
The 2015 Florida softball season came to an end with Newsome (Lithia, Fla.) and Tate (Cantonment, Fla.) capturing the 8A and 7A championships, respectively, earning each a place in the top 25 for the first time this season.
The USA Today Sports/NFCA High School Super 25 will be released every Thursday through June 11.
State rankings submitted by NFCA member coaches are used to help compile the USA Today Sports/NFCA High School Super 25. Records for this week’s poll include all games played through May 11.
