LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Norco, which has not allowed a run in its last three games, continues as the top team in the USA Today Sports/NFCA High School Super 25 poll.

The (14-0) Cougars were idle this past week after outscoring opponents 26-0 over its three-game shutout span. Unbeaten Norco puts its shutout streak on the line today with a matchup against Murrieta Mesa.

Arizona’s Pinnacle (24-1) continued its roll, outscoring opponents 70-7 over its last six games, to surge two spots into second, while Cape Fear (14-0), Willis (25-1) and Los Alamitos (12-2) were all perfect last week to also gain two places apiece and fill out the first five.

Of the six new teams in the poll this week, five are either undefeated or have one loss, and the six together have a combined 98-4 record. Among those, No. 13 Stockdale (17-0) has outscored its opponents 54-0 over its last five contests and No. 16 Bentonville (16-1) has recorded eight shutout victories.

Five schools — Amador Valley, Sheldon and Clovis in California, Immaculate Heart Academy in New Jersey and D.H. Conley of North Carolina — dropped out.
