The Mexican National Softball Federation has selected 27 players for women's national team with three of those players competing in the National Pro-Fastpitch League. The 27 players will compete for a spot in the final roster to participate in the Regional Central American, Pan American qualifier August 4-13, 2017 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The Women’s National team will travel to Oklahoma City to compete in the USA World Championship, July 5-9, and from there travel to Vancouver, B.C. to participate in the Canadian Open Championship, July 11-17, 2017 as part of their preparation before heading to Santo Domingo.

In addition, the roster for the Junior's National team was finalized after a selection training camp and exhibition games vs. SOCAL All Stars & Team USA, June 12-15, followed by the junior's team participation in the women's open Mexican National Championship, June 21-24, 2017 held in Tijuana, Mexico. The champions of the event were a team representing the Mexican state of Baja California who defeated Ciudad Mexico 3-1 in the title game.

“The training camp and the quality of the Mexican National Championship was excellent," stated Ing. Rolando Cruz Guerrero, President of Team Mexico. The level of our national tournaments are reaching new heights every year. We are dedicated to continue to work to develop our national tournaments and to strengthen the quality of Team Mexico softball at the international stage. We were very happy to see that our junior team players have elevated their level of play and we expect them to have a great tournament at the Junior's World Championships July 24-30 in Clearwater Florida."
