Kansas City, Mo. - Miranda Wehrle of Indiana Wesleyan and Kim Horsten of Missouri Valley were named NAIA Player and Pitcher of the Week for games played April 11-17. 

Over an eight-game stretch, Wehrle hit .471with three doubles, three home runs, nine runs scored and 22 RBI. Keying the eight-ranked Wildcats to a 7-1 week, the junior recorded three four-hit contests and drove in six runs against Goshen and Marian, respectively. 

Horsten posted a 4-0 mark with a 0.00 ERA and three complete-game shutouts. The junior hurler tossed a total of 19 scoreless innings, extending her scoreless streak to 36.2 frames. Horsten fanned 24 and scattered eight hits. 

Student-athletes were nominated for their performances and were selected out of a pool of conference and Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) award winners.
