LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The All-Tournament team for the 2020 NFCA NAIA Leadoff Classic, held at the South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, Ga., has been announced. Truett McConnell captured the title with a 4-1 mark and edged out Mobile on the run differential tiebreaker. One student-athlete from each of the 16 participating programs make up the all-tournament squad.
Bethany Hyde earned the Bears’ all-tournament nod. The senior hurler posted a 3-0 mark with a 1.75 ERA and 17 strikeouts. She tossed a six-inning no-hitter in a 9-1 win over Coastal Georgia. For tournament runner-up Mobile, Brinkley Goff shined in the circle. The freshman went 3-0 in with a 1.47 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 19 innings of work. She twirled a one-hit shutout against Rio Grande and recorded a nine-strikeout complete game versus Southeastern (7 IP, 1 R, 2 H).
