LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced 381 student-athletes from 158 programs have received 2023 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2023 NFCA Division I All-America squads.

2023 Division I All-Region Teams
Boston University (Northeast), UCLA (West) and Utah (Pacific) topped the charts with all eight of their nominations receiving All-Region recognition. The Terriers (51-8) and the No. 2 overall seed Bruins (52-5), who are two of the three NCAA Division I programs with 50-plus wins, led the charge with seven first-team nods.
No. 1 overall seed and 51-1 Oklahoma (Central), LSU (South) and Oklahoma State (Midwest) took home seven plaudits. The Sooners and Tigers each had five first teamers, while the Cowgirls had four.
Arkansas (South), Boise State (Pacific), Duke (Southeast), Florida State (Southeast), Indiana (Midwest), Northwestern (Great Lakes), Notre Dame (Mid-Atlantic), Virginia Tech (Mid-Atlantic) and Washington (Pacific) each had six representatives. From the above-mentioned teams, the Razorbacks had four first-team nods with the Hoosiers, Fighting Irish and Huskies posting three on the first team.
Miami led the Mideast Region with five accolades three on the first team.
The Big Ten’s 43 selections led the way, followed closely by the Pac-12 and Southeastern Conference with 42 and 41, respectively. The Atlantic Coast Conference (33) and Big 12 (23) rounded out the top five leagues. The Sun Belt (16), Mid-American Conference (15), A10 (13), MAAC (13), American (11), Conference USA (11), Patriot League (11) and Mountain West (10) each posted double-figure honorees.
Conference players and pitchers of the year from member institutions (must be nominated by member head coach and receive votes) are added to the third team if they were not already voted to an All-Region squad. Additionally, in some instances, limited regional nominations prevented a position from being filled.
The 2023 NFCA Division I All-America teams, voted on by the NFCA DI All-American Committee, will be announced on Wednesday, May 31.
