LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Robert Morris’ Aglaia Rudd and Oklahoma State’s Ruby Meylan were named the final Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week of the 2026 season. Meylan collected her second straight nod as both student-athletes are being recognized for games played April 27-May 3.
Over the course of five games, Rudd launched seven home runs, drove in 15 runs and slugged 2.619 lifting the Colonials to a 4-1 week, including a three-game Horizon League sweep of Detroit Mercy. The junior catcher batted .571 (12-for-21), scored eight runs and added a double, which was the 15th on the year, a new single-season program record. Six of those long balls came against the Titans, including three with six RBI in the series finale. Rudd also homered twice, recorded four RBI and scored three times in the opener.
Meylan put in another strong performance for the Cowgirls, posting her second straight 3-0 week. She went the distance twice, posted a 0.35 ERA, struck out 24 and walked just four batters. The senior hurler held her opposition to a .109 batting average over 20 innings of work. Meylan opened the week with a one-hit shutout of Tulsa with nine punchouts and capped off the weekend with a two-hit shutout against RV Kansas with seven strikeouts. With her two wins against Kansas, Meylan became the first Big 12 pitcher to notch 15 conference wins with 100-plus innings pitched.
The awards are voted on by the NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll Committee, which features one member coach from each of the NCAA’s 31 conferences.
