LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Boston University’s Caitlin Coker and USF’s Georgina Corrick captured the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the week honors. The duo was recognized for their outstanding play during the week of April 26-May 2.

Coker posted a tremendous weekend at the plate and on the base paths to key the 32-2 Terriers’ sweep of Lafayette. The sophomore from Downingtown, Pa. went 10-for-13 (.769) with three doubles, a triple, 13 runs scored and three RBI. Coker was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases, slugged 1.154 and registered a .786 on-base percentage. She matched a school record with four runs in the series finale, which saw her go 4-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and two stolen bases. In the opener, Coker was a perfect 3-for-3 with two steals, three runs and a double. She also scored three times in games two and three.

Highlighted by back-to-back no-hitters against East Carolina, Corrick gets the nod for the second straight week. She finished the four-game series, 2-1 with a 0.00 ERA and 32 strikeouts over 24.2 innings. The junior righty surrendered just two hits, five walks and one unearned run. Corrick opened with those two no-nos, striking out nine and 10 Pirates, respectively. She earned a save in game three with 2.2 innings of no-hit relief (5 K, 1 BB). Despite suffering a 1-0 loss in the finale, Corrick only allowed two hits, walked two and fanned eight in eight innings.
