LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Augustana’s Torri Chute and Adelphi's Lindsey Hibbs were named Division II Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the final time in 2023. The duo was recognized for their outstanding performances April 24-30.
Chute keyed the Vikings to their third straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular season crown, going 8-for-10 performance in a sweep of Minnesota Duluth to leapfrog the Bulldogs for the top spot in the league. Over their final eight contests, Chute hit .556 with 15 hits, four home runs, 12 RBI, 11 runs and a 1.037 slugging percentage.
