LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Angelo State’s Tatiana Trotter and McKendree’s Sami Huck were named the final Division II Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week for the 2026 season. The duo is being recognized for contests played April 7-May 3. It is the second honor of the season for Huck.

Trotter batted .600 and homered five times in the final four regular-season games for the 18th-ranked Rambelles. The senior outfielder added a double and nine RBI, scored six runs, slugged 2.200 and reached base at a .692 clip. Trotter homered twice with three RBI in a win over Eastern New Mexico. She also homered in each contest against No. 5 West Texas A&M and in game two versus ENMU. Trotter finished the weekend with 40 career home runs, ranking fifth all-time in ASU history.

Huck twirled a no-hitter against Quincy and finished the weekend 2-0 with a pair of shutouts. She struck out 17 batters, surrendered just three hits and held her opposition to a .086 batting average in 10 innings of work. Against Quincy, she fanned 12 and issued one walk. Huck also blanked Upper Iowa on three hits and five punchouts. The senior hurler upped her record to 21-6 with a 1.72 ERA and 223 strikeouts to just 35 walks over 166.2 innings of work.

The awards are voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee, which features two member coaches from each of the NCAA’s eight regions.
