Type: drill

Purpose: Perform defensive situations in a pressure-filled environment to expose players to game-like atmosphere.

Explanation: Put the defense in the field and challenge them to be“perfect”for 21 outs in a row. If a mistake is made (either an error, a mental mistake on where to throw the ball or a throwing error), you go back to the beginning of the “game” and start all over.

It is impossible to tell how long this will take, but this drill is effective because all players are all held accountable, both by their own play and by their play as a team.
