Type: drill
Purpose: To increase endurance and agility in your infielders while giving them fundamental repetitions.
Explanation: Five batters hit five balls to a fielder, who is set up about 20 feet away. After five balls are hit, fielder moves to the next hitter. The fielder on the end moves to the other end. This is repeated until the same fielder returns to the first hitter where they started. Now the fielders receive four grounders from each of the hitters. Follow this process until the fielders have received three, then two and finally one grounder at each station.
