LOUISVILLE, KY. – Riding a 52-game winning streak, the Cougars of Alexander Central (Taylorsville, N.C.) hold on to the top spot in the USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 for the fifth straight week.

With upset wins over Russellville (Ark.), Hillcrest (Ala.), and Keystone (Ohio), Ballard (Louisville, Ky.) made its debut in the rankings by coming in at No. 22.

Also entering the poll for the first time this week were Mauldin (Mauldin, S.C.), Sherwood (Sandy Spring, Md.), and Manteno (Manteno, Ill).

The USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll will be released every Thursday through June 5.
