LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fresh off its inaugural Northwest Athletic Conference title, Southwestern Oregon Community College was named 2023 ATEC/NFCA NWAC National Coaching Staff of the Year, the Association announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Head coach Megan Corriea, along with assistants Bri Benoit and McKenzie Davis guided the Lakers to a 48-3 record and the first Northwest Athletic Conference championship in program history, 6-1 over Clackamas, on May 21 at Delta Park in Portland, Ore.
Southwestern Oregon won 40 of its final 41 games, including nine straight to close the season, and five straight in the NWAC Championship Elite Eight.
