LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association is proud to release the 2014 NAIA All-Region teams. Overall, 160 players from 62 different institutions comprised first and second squads chosen from the East, Great Lakes, Midwest, Southwest and West regions.
Two teams — Auburn Montgomery and Olivet Nazarene — placed seven players each on their All-Region teams, while Concordia (Calif.) University and Oklahoma City University both had six players honored.
All seven of Olivet Nazarene’s players were selected to the first team in the Great Lakes region, while all five for Oklahoma Baptist and five of six for Oklahoma City University made the first team in the Southwest.
The NAIA All-Region squads consist of two teams of 16 players each from the five NFCA regions. All first team All-Region choices are eligible to be considered for the NFCA NAIA All-America teams, which will be announced on June 3 via NFCA.org.
