LOUISVILLE, Ky. –  Tess Williamson of Resurrection Christian (Colo.) was named MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week and is being recognized for her outstanding performance during the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

Williamson batted .833 (10-for-12) with five doubles, a home run, seven RBI and 10 runs scored leading the Cougars to three wins last week. The senior drew a pair of walks, did not strikeout, slugged 1.500 and reached base at a .857 clip. In a victory over Middle Park, Williamson drove in a season-best five runs, going 3-for-3 at the dish with a pair of doubles and her long ball. She also doubled twice with three hits and three runs scored versus Skyview. Williamson added a season-high four base hits (4-for-5) and four runs scored against Wellington.
