The NFCA Student-Athlete Awards celebrate excellence across every aspect of the game, from standout performance on the field to dedication in the classroom. These honors recognize the athletes who elevate their teams through skill, leadership, and commitment, while also highlighting the coaches and programs that support their success. Active member coaches will receive communication throughout the year with nomination and voting timelines.
NFCA awards are open to eligible member coaches and their student-athletes.
The NFCA All-Region and All-America Teams recognize the top performers across the nation each season. Awarded in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Division I, II, and III, Cal JC, NWAC and High School.
EASTON / NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARDS AND TOP 10 ACADEMIC TEAMS
The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards recognize student-athletes who achieve a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. In addition, the NFCA honors the Top 10 Academic Teams each fall, based on overall team GPA, highlighting programs that excel academically.
NFCA PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Each year, the NFCA Player of the Year Award honors the most outstanding athletes in the nation. These awards recognize elite performance and competitive excellence across NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior College (NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III, Cal JC, NWAC).
NFCA PITCHER OF THE YEAR
Each year, the Portolite/NFCA Pitcher of the Year Award honors the most outstanding pitchers in the nation. These awards recognize elite performance and competitive excellence across NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior College (NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III, Cal JC, NWAC).
NFCA FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR
The NFCA Freshman of the Year Award recognizes top-performing first-year student-athletes. This award is presented annually across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA to highlight outstanding performance and contribution in their first-year of college.
RAWLINGS GOLD GLOVE AWARDS PRESENTED BY THE NFCA
The Rawlings Gold Glove Awards honor the top defensive players at each position across NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Division I, II, and III, Cal JC, and NWAC.
DIAMOND SPORTS / NFCA CATCHER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The top catchers in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divsions I, II, and III, Cal JC, NWAC and High School are recognized with the Diamond Sports/NFCA Catcher of the Year Award.
NEW BALANCE / NFCA GOLDEN SHOE AWARD
The top baserunners in the nation are recognized with the New Balance/NFCA Golden Shoe Award. These athletes are selected by NFCA divisional committees in NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Cal JC, NWAC and High School.
LOUISVILLE SLUGGER / NFCA PLAYER OF THE WEEK & WILSON /NFCA PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Each week during the collegiate season, the NFCA recognizes standout performances with National Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards. These honors are presented across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III.
MAXPREPS / NFCA HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Players of the Week awards recognize exceptional performances by high school student-athletes nationwide. These weekly honors highlight athletes by region during the Spring and Fall seasons.
