LOUISVILLE, Ky. —Chillicothe’s (Mo.) Landry Marsh and Smithville’s (Mo.) Marleigh McDonald earned the latest GameChanger/NFCA Fall High School National Pitcher and Player of the Week honors of the 2026 season, the Association announced on Monday.
Senior right-hander Marsh had a 5-0 week for the defending state Class 3 champion Hornets. She had a perfect game Tuesday, a 17-strikeout game Thursday and three tournament victories on Saturday, including beating the No. 3 and No. 4-ranked teams in the state for their classification.
Despite the busy week, Marsh allowed only one earned run over 26 innings in the circle and walked just three, while fanning 45. She also held opposing batters to a .083 average and compiled a 0.269 ERA.
Senior center fielder McDonald batted .611 over six games for the Warriors, with a 2.071 OPS and .682 on-base percentage. She collected seven extra-base hits, including three doubles and three home runs, while scoring 10 times and driving in five runs from the leadoff spot.
The Oregon State-bound McDonald, who is already the first in school history to have 100 career hits, 100 runs and 100 steals, notched her Chillicothe-record 163th hit among her 11 hits this week.
