LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Tahlequah (Okla.) duo of Zoie Griffin and Rylee Stark garnered the latest GameChanger/NFCA Fall High School National Pitcher and Player of the Week honors of the 2026 season, the Association announced on Monday.
Senior right-hander Griffin pitched a no-hitter and a one-hitter to help propel the (24-3) Tigers to the Oklahoma 5A, District 3 championship and earn herself a second Pitcher of the Week honor in the past three weeks. Over 10 innings in the circle, she struck out 27, while walking none and allowing zero earned runs. She also helped herself at the plate, going 3-for-5 (.600) with a double, triple and three RBI over Tahlequah’s three games.
The reigning Gatorade Oklahoma Player of the Year and Texas A&M commit’s lone baserunner in a 18-0 five-inning victory over Durant on Tuesday was a hit batter. She fanned 14 in that game and was similarly dominant in a one-hitter (nine strikeouts) against the Lions back on Aug. 20. In her one-hitter on Thursday — a 10-0 five-inning triumph over Coweta — Griffin struck out 13.
Meanwhile, her teammate Stark earned recognition for helping lead the Tiger offense over those same three contests, with a .500 average, three extra-base hits and four RBI.
The sophomore second baseman tripled and drove in a run against McAlester on Monday, had three hits including a double versus Durant, and added another double and two RBI in the Coweta win.
